removing distributor pin

I have an internal leak on my distributor , so I need to remove the distributor pin on the key way. I have not been able to get the pin out , I have beat on it for a total of about 3 hours using a sledge hammer and a tad bit of force , the pin is still in normal shape no mushrooming but also no progress.

no suggestions on getting the pin out?

Hopefully you're not hammering an the tang that goes into the cam slot, but rather knock out the roll pin that goes through the distributor shaft perpendicular to the drive tang. Use a pin punch of the appropriate size, support the dist. shaft, and you can hit it as hard as you need to drive it out.

I looked at mine and looks to be pressed in should be able to drive it out
