I'll be replacing the front brakes and rotors at some point this week on my 97 Aspire, and I was wondering, what are some things I should know before tackling this? Tools or other odd things that I should need. Also I've heard that new rotors need "broken in." What can I do to do this the correct way? Any and all input is appreciated! Thanks!

Dan, (iirc), you'll want a heavy hammer (not a framing hammer), 12 and 14mm wrenches, 2 small prybars, and THE HARDWARE KIT.

Oh how I wish, I mean my job allows me to work my schedule around whatever I want, but idk, I'm positive my Aspire could make it, but that's a wicked long drive. Now I've seen this Ohio mini meet on the page? If anyone could inform me of that, I'm a little interested in that!Comment

the ohio meet is just outside Talmadge (sp), OH. the date is currently in flux this year. the travel time is about the same for ohio and Ralaigh NC. if i were you, i'd go to madness (NC). it's THE meet of the year.Trees aren't kind to me...

uhhhh man, it would be so last minute for me, I mean, it's terrible to say, but maybe next year lol. I'd really like to meet a lot more of you guys and chill out a bit. Roughly how much does it cost to go to FM? I'm talking to pay for everything, even a night or two in a hotel?Comment
