  • Rotors won't come off

I currently have taken off the caliper and retaining screws from my 97 aspire and i still can't get the rotor off. Any help at all? Here's a picture of where im at ccurrently

I see no pic. If you have the screws (2) out and the caliper out of the way, then the only thing that can be keeping it of is corrosion between the hub and the rotor. Make sure the vehicle is supported well and take a hammer (rubber mallet is best) and start tapping the surface that the brake pad clamps on, working your way around the rotor, basically keep tapping all around until it comes off. Good luck

A few good smacks and a little PB should loosen it right up, unless its unusually rusted in place!

I've had some rotors rusted so bad that hit them so hard with a sledge the rotor breaks in half

I've had the same problem, this is a good solution. PB those bad boys and let them sit a few hours. (PB Blaster)

I've teased the rotor in a circle around the hub with heat, pops loose.
