I don't know if anyone else experiences any of these slight problems. It has to do with the electrical draw on the alternator.
I work at Autozone, so I grabbed the electrical system tester and hooked it up to my Festy, as soon as it started the test the engine bogged majorly for about a second, before the readout on the test gave an all clear for the alternator. I have used this tester allot on many customer's cars, and not one vehicle has bogged down like that.
But what made me try the tester was I noticed allot when my cooling fan kicks on, all the lights on the car dim until the engine can catch back up, which takes about a second, also if the blower is on I can clearly hear it slightly slow down when I turn on the headlights, and slows down even more with the cooling fan.
Any insight on this issue? Possibly a bad ground? Sticking IAC Valve? Or just a normal Festiva quirk?
