All instrument illumination is grounded through the dimmer switch.
Dimmer switch is rolling dial left of column.
      Is your tail fuse blown?
The radio light is on the same circuit but grounded through the back of the radio to the dash frame.
Where did you join the red.green wire to?

The red and green wire i think i used as power source for radio, it had constant 12v i think, there was 3 plugs, one had constant hot, one had a ground and a hot wjen key on acc, the other plug had speakers i used constant hot as battery+ acc/ stereo ground to plug with ground and key activated hot.

The power source for the radio mempry is the white/red wire (hot at all times).
What did you hook that one up to?

Did you look at the schematic in F26 in post #3?

The blue/yellow wire is Hot in Accessory or Run.
                This will power the radio.

The red/green wire is only for the radio light.

The other two connectors are for the front and rear speakers.

                Good luck.

I thought red white was constant on for memory and a blue with yellow is your ignition key on to power the radio. I havent decided how to hook mine up yet, if you use somethig else it does not matter if its fused right? or the grounds matter?

You are correct. white/red for memory. Blue/yellow for power on.

Disconnect the red/green (assuming the light bulb in the radio is probably burnt out)

That will eliminate the tail fuse blowing.
What is the model of radio are you installing?
