  • Which one am i

Hi everybody. Howz things. I am new to this site, so rip me apart now, HAPPY, good. Ineed real help and advice so i hope someone can advize me. I own a Mazda Demio (1999 DW). One of my problems is i cannot find a specific Haynes manual for this car. I believe it comes with many names, and many identities, like wagon, 121, supermini, festiva, metro, part of FORD but MAZDA created. I know what it looks like but cannot pinpoint my exact model as it is a Ghost Clone, and theres nothing on the net. No manuals, diagrams, not even any custom information. So can someone please put me on the right track, and tell me what repair manual would i need and any other approprate and correct information, would be cool. Many Thanks, Peace. I also have an MOT in 2 weeks time, and i would like to save my Demion as im falling for her.

    W...T....F...????

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Ok, i own a Mazda Demio which is a clone of many cars especially Festiva (as they say). And comes under many different names. Ive been trying to find a manual thats specific to my car, but cant find anything. So i thought someone might have information to what manual would be sutible engine and body ways. As i Have an MOT in 2 weeks time and need to research and repair many bits.

Well since you didn't specify what year you're car is, I did a quick Wikipedia search and seen 3 different generations

So here's the link, it should have the info you're looking for

he did specify, but it was slightly hidden within the other info. it's a '99 DW chassis. given that info, i would suspect that it is the 4 door "wagon" version of the near current Saipa from Iran HERE.

azgardian, i would propose that you contact Ernst or Junespeed here on the forum as they may have better information for the limited market car that you have, also, you may want to put out a feeler for more local members in Auzzie-land to point you in a better direction.

Sorry, The car i own is a Demio 1999, Treg, believe it is A DW, 1st Generation. My one looks like the old Ford Escort, and Ford Festiva, It has a square body shape, not round in any way, Its not like the picture you supplied in wikipedia. Its pointed at the front, low bumper & scoops, large square boot with top tail fin (TO MAKE A LOOK LIKE A SPORTY 4X4 CLONE. Looks like a shrunken MPV.
Ford retailed a version in Japan as the Ford Festiva Mini Wagon. The Demio was updated in 1999 with a revised exterior, cabin air filtration, retuned automatic transmission, and available DSC due to a 2002 redesign.
So what car is closest to my vechicle design, so i can source a decient rePair manual, MANYTHANKS
