Welcome to the site! Lots of good info, and people in here.

I would check the fuel pressure regulator. If the diaphragm goes bad, it can cause a no start/ too much fuel issue.

The easiest way to check it is pull the vacuum line off and smell for gas. You can also try to start it with the vacuum line off, and if ANY fuel comes out, then the rubber diaphragm is bad.

Another member and I were talking about how expensive they are for as simple as they are.

Test yours if you get a chance, and if it's bad I'll gladly send you one free .

Others might have some thoughts besides that, that i'm forgetting

Welcome !! What year is the car ? How long did it run one the first start ? I'm thinking vaf is unplugged or loose bad connection . But that would only be for FI cars .
New build on the way .

Mor info please. If it's carbruetted sounds like one of the many vacuum hoses may have been knocked loose. Happens to me sometimes when working in engine compartment.
