boltin in the torque converter

well I have the trans mated to the engine. but the Tq converter is not connected.
How did you guys get the bolts on? be detailed please!

I tried turing the crank to get it to spin but the flex plate and torque converter spin together.
tried wedging a screwdriver up in there but the angel is way off for that.

Should have lined up the bolts in the torque converter to the flex plate before tightening the trans bolts. If you loosen the trans, you should be able to spin the torque converter and line up the bolts with the holes.

so if I back the trans bolts off, and spin it at the crank, I should be able to do it?

or do you mean take the trans off, line up the holes, put a bolt in to hold the alignment, and then put it all back together?

You should be able to back the bolts off enough to get the crank or torque converter to turn. I'm thinking once you back off the bolts, try turning the torque converter. It should be easier than turning the crank.
