  • gearshift bushings?

Searching on "shifter bushings" and "gearshift bushings" return zero hits. Any suggestions on what might bring up the old postings on where to find and how to replace the bushings where the stick shift comes though the floor? Thanks.

Okay now. Search on "bushings" turned up a lot of hits for different kinds of bushings, eg stabalizer bar and shifter. Some interesting DIY jobs.

Brave, I would agree with your reccomendation if those are the bushings he is hunting for.

However, I think he's asking about the single large bushing that holds the actual shift lever mechanicsm to the bracket attached to the car. It's the bushing that wears out and allows the shifter to literally fall out of the bottom of the car.
