  • Clutch switch wiring for auto to 5-speed swap question..

Hi guys, I have everything i need for my 5-speed swap, except i have a question about the clutch switch, is the wiring in the automatic harness to plug this in or will i have to just not use a clutch switch?

    thanks!,

automatic and manual transmissions have 2 different harnesses and computers

and without that switch you may have some strange problems

hmm, everyone else on the board has said that the computers are the same and the only harness needed is the is the harness that goes on the trans.. hah!

I did score a 90 323 b6 5-speed ECU that will be going in the car..

Anyone have any more insight on this swap?

      Thanks!

Are you doing a B6 Swap as well? If not then there is no need to put that ECU into you car. It will not help your performance. The ECUs for auto and manual Festivas are the same

the B3 ecu will run the b6 fine, but will not fuel it properly, it will not power the b6 for full performance.

A few fellas here have been running b3 ecus with b6's and then switched to a b6 ecu, and the power increases were huge!

If your just looking to get rid of it I would take it off your hands. Were there any problems with it before removal. Did you put any plugs in the axle holes to keep everything lined up?
