Lights Brightening and Dimming - 92 Festiva L

Hello - I have a 92 L with a lot of miles (243k); motor runs good.

Today the lights (headlights and indicator lights inside) just started to brighten and dim while running; my guess I need the alternator replaced?

Prior to this I did notice that when for example I turned the blower on high, I felt a slight pull on the motor idle speed. I think its the original alternator.

Yep sounds to me like alternator is dying, or you have a bad ground. I would just run it to one of the big chain auto parts stores, they can USUALLY hook up a cart that will test your alt/battery in car.

question....would you be referring to the alternator ground?

Any of the electrical system grounds. I would start with alternator and battery first, more likely and chasing bad grounds is a huge pain.
