  • Will not start now...

    .... after the battery explosion.

Red had it's battery explode a week and a half ago and I put another battery in to move the car & it will not start. It cranks, but that's it.

I know it has a cracked radiator at the top, but all I was gonna do is move it and that is it. I wound up pushing the car to another location in the yard.

It's just going to be a parts car, but I would like to keep it running.

Make sure it didn't blow the coil wire off.

Nope everything is hooked up still. Not sure what it is.

I will have to replace the radiator anyway. I'll do that first then try to figure out why its not starting.

Maybe water got into something it shouldn't have when you were cleaning up the engine bay, like the dizzy?

Wow, I have always taken it for granted that I wouldn't be killed by 12V (no higher power jokes please). Lucky it was the car and not you. After the fuse check per scitzz, see if you have voltage at the ign coil.

Battery acid everywhere, probably didn't do the 20 year old electronics any favors either. Did you check the fusible links and the main rely right by the battery?
