Yes! Thank you thank you thank you!

Blues engine has a blown head gasket. It had oil in the radiator fluid and oil in the air intakes. Not good. I have learned a lot in one day. Matt, you did a great job and I thank you for all the hard work switching out the engines and for some 12" wheels and parts. I want to thank Gomaz for the help and for letting me buy 4 wheels from you too and matt's friend, who I can't remember his name, from work also for the help!!

Eddie and I drove up to Zooms house. He drove Blue and I drove Shadow, my black Festy I had at the madness last fall. We drove separately incase we couldn't get Blue finished. We got there around 8:50a and was finished around 9p. We (Matt) pulled Blues engine and had to swap parts from it to a B3 engine Matt got from a JY. We put in all new gaskets and seals except for what Matt said.

I'm gonna need Shadows seals and gaskets replaced as well. At least now I know what it involves.

Here are some pics of the work. Not many since we were all so busy and fighting day light.

    Blues engine being removed:

Matt (zoom zoom) & Brian (Gomaz) looking over Blues engine. The engine just ran 170 miles to get yanked! lol!

What's left of Blues engine after most everything is switched over.

Blues engine on the left and the B3 JY engine on the left.

The JY engine just about ready for insertion.

I decided on another B3 because I like to keep things stocked how it was and I'm more into cruising than power I guess. My parts car Red I may want to put in a B6 someday!!

It is a 5 speed Festy. It ran good too when I test drove it and rode it home. It was a gamble on the Blue because it sat for years in a garage, but I liked it because of the NO rust!!

Is the engine with you or at the junk yard? I'm willing to take a gamble at it!

Blues engine is worn out. It runs worse now with it popping and smoking. Oil is in the exhaust pipes.

Not sure what to do now. The car itself is in great shape ..... meaning no rust! I like the stock engines in the Festies, but not sure where to find a rebuild, or rebuild this engine. Not knowing if the head is cracked or something else.

I have replaced engines before, but it has been along time. Last one was an 85' Chevy van back in 92'.

If anyone is willing to help or give advice where to find a rebuild engine would be appreciated.

The Festy still runs and we drove it home over 300 miles when I purchased it! Then, it ran great! No smoke, great power, & ran smooth all the way home......... Now the engine is crap, but still runs leaving a trail of smoke where ever it goes!

    Well, here is the latest:

G-dine & her son are waiting on a court date. I got my 4 wheeler back at a cost of $65 (tow fee). The cost of what he did is at most $1500 for the damage to the store window, so far.

As for Blue, the only thing I can do in this crappy weather is put in a new PCV valve. When I would start the car it would not burn any oil till it warmed up. It would run fine cold with no smoke then start idling a little faster, then it would start smoking when it's warmed up.

As for selling any Festies, it's up in the air right now. The blue one with no rust that I'm talking about on this thread would be one of them & the red one I have as a parts car would be the other.

Sorry to hear the news, speaking from experience tell her he is in schooll behind bars. Thats the lesson he needs to learn. Again speaking from experience, she is enabling him by posting bail. Do the crime do the time & the lesson learned.

Let him sit in jail now.
Give him a chance to think about what he did and how is he going to get his life straightened out!
Besides everyday he is in jail now generally comes off his sentence, when/if he is convicted and sentenced.
Otherwise, you and G need to decide how many times your going to do this.
    Been there done that!
He is G-dines son, not mine so I don't have a say in it. I already got on G-dine to let him sit, but she will not have it, she doesn't want him to miss any school ..... I said to bad!!
