  • Rear Shocks

Ihave yet to do rear shocks on a Festiva and have not removed the old ones yet. Can someone look at the picture and tell me if I have the pieces in the correct order. I assume the last rubber bumper and metal cap actually go inside the car when bolting them on.

Yep that's right. Make sure you soak em down with some oil before you try removing them from the beam.
The sleeves like to rust tight to the bolt making them hard to remove. And sometimes even breaking the tacked nut inside the beam loose, not fun.

If you're lucky, the strut bolts will come right out. If your bolts are typical 20+ year old factory ones, you will soon increase your swear word vocabulary immensely.

When you put the new ones in, use lots of never seize

Anyone know if the coil spring seat insulator can be found anyplace? It appears that it goes on top of the spring.
