Rear defrost partially works

Hey peeps,

I am currently having an issue with my rear defroster in that only 4 of the defrost wires work. This causes low visibility when I have my dogs in the back because their breath fogs up the rear window...



Does anybody have any ideas as to why only 4 of the wires work?

Check the connections on the other wires. I'm guessing they are broken somewhere.

Find the break and repair with conductive epoxy from your friendly neigborhood McParts store.

I checked long ago. The Festiva defrost wire kit is unavailable. Other kits from other cars are either too wide or meant for curved glass. Good luck with the repair.

I've used this in the past with good results after someone removing tint nicked one. Sometimes the break is hard to find though..

Just use a multimeter on it to check for continuity.

A piece of aluminum foil on the tip of the probe makes this^ easier
