Need help getting my Festiva up and running again.

I have a 1989 Festiva that my "mechanic" is having trouble with. On January 3, 2014 I was going home and heard a pop, the car died and would not start. The mechanic said it was the distributor and I believe he finally found one and the car starts now, the problem now is that once it gets warm, it does not want to idle and dies. Anyone know why?? Is your engine carbed or EFI? Please add your location to your profile. You never can tell if there is another member nearby in Nebraska.

if it's carbed it most likely that you have a vacuum line off or leaking
