the metal plate seems to be stuck to the engine and wont come off. everything else seems to be free except that metal plate is stuck on the upper front on the block side. anyone have this issue before. thanks again.

Auto or 5 speed? Did you remove the flex plate bolts if its an auto? Dont forget all the little 10mm bolts i think there's 4?2008 Kia Rio- new beater

You have missed the 10mm cover bolts, up, up , in there. Look again.Dan
