  • Source for new Fuel Tank

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum so please excuse me if this info is already on the forum. I did search and could not find anything directly on point.

I have owned a 1992 Festiva since 2002 and love this car. It has been parked for the last six years and now I need the vehicle again so its time to resurrect it. So far the tires were shot, the exhaust was replaced, all the brake lines were rusted out and both the fuel lines were leaking. They have been replaced and we have been driving it for a week. Today the gas tank started leaking fuel. I can't tell if it is just the tank or the tank and lines that are leaking. The tank is so rusted that the mounting lip is almost gone.

So here is my question, I found a tank on Rock Auto for $118 (the same tank at O'Rielly and Napa for $250) but can't find the line setup that goes in the tank. Does anyone know where I could get one, or does anyone have a good used complete tank they would like to sell? I live near St. Paul, MN.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Mike

IIRC Freshtiva has a couple tanks to sell. Send him a PM. Good luck

          Thanks Jerry.

Do you know of someplace to get the fuel line thingy that goes into the tank that the pump bolts to?

The sending unit (the thing you unscrew to look inside the tank)? Can't buy them new, you'd have to post a WTB.

                WTH,

Wow, that's great. I'm new at the board and not very good navigating it yet. Could you please PM me with how much you want for it and I guess we have to figure out how much shipping will be. I'm in zip code 54016.

                Thanks Again!!
