Your wrong. WBBulldogs answered his post by saying that 17's are too big for a Festiva. Well I searched Nyboy07's posts and discovered that he has an Aspire. Big difference when you are asking about tire clearance. Nyboy07 is assuming everyone here knows him and his car from his 9 posts and remembers those details. If someone here wants help they need to post the pertinent information.

Is the car lowered, stock springs, worn struts/springs, tire size, does he weigh 500lbs, is there a system in the trunk, etc... This information is useful when trying to solve his problem.

I would think that before you open your mouth you should think why we post the"how" if we don't know what kind of vehicle you are looking for help with, or if it has been modded then how are we supposed to answer the question? So maybe next time before you go running your mouth you will think about how do you answer a question that you don't have any real information on. In this case the 17in tires make a difference on An Aspire instead of a Festiva.

I would check to make sure your struts are in good shape first. I would also check the offset and width of the wheel. It may not sit right in the wheel well and stick out to far and not have the proper clearance causing the tire to hit the body.
