Just went to start up the festy and nothing. I mean nothing. Buzzing/clicking noise from the little electrical box under the seat? What it that thing anyhow? Looks like the wiring coming out of it may run to the fuel pump? Stranded in the Staples parking lot. On the clock at work running errands lol.

The box under the seat controls the passive seatbelts. Check battery connections, I've had a scare like this but just had to clean the terminals with a brush. If you haven't already, swap over to cartridge fuses instead of fusible links as well. They're becoming a bigger issue as they corrode with age.-Zack

Thanks I appreciate it! Turns out it was the actually the starter. Bummer!! I've had a few electrical problems so I immediately panicked and assumed the worst. Got a push start and made it back to work. I guess I know what I'll be doing for Memorial Day tomorrow lol. Any idea why the passive seatbelt control box woul be clicking like crazy whenever you plug in the wire harness all of the sudden? It's pretty irritating. Almost as irritating as those seat belts themselves.You can't polish a turd but sure as hell can roll it in glitter.

The starter is one of the easiest things to change on our cars. It's right up on top of the transmission. You hardly have to reach down. It should take less than 10 minutes to change. You could do it in the parking lot where you buy your rebuilt starter. Then you have your core charge returned + prove the rebuild works.
Now you know why I switched to manual belts. The only thing good about auto belts is that the door locks can interface with an aftermarket car alarm (even without having power locks). Unless, of course, the thieves break in through your hatch.
There are four on board relays in that passive restraint module under your seat. Two are for left and right door catches. The other two are for left and right auto belt limit switches. It's going to be tough to find out which one is clicking. Good luck.

You assume the starter is bad, could very well be corroded contacts or grounds.
Don't assume the starters dead yet.
A little cleaning could solve your problem.
