Now that I have Silver Streak running it eats a quart of oil like every 200 miles. I know the engine is toast, but I'm wondering what to do. Should I overhaul the engine, replace it with the same, or put a b6 in an automatic?!? (If that's possible!)

I don't consider myself an expert by any means, when it comes to engines and what can be used. I would just like several experts opinions.

Put in a B6 from an early 323, it's a direct bolt in and a few more HP without sacrificing gas mileage!

Safety Guy has done exactly what your thinking about ATX with B6.

However, before you swap, do you know where the oil is going?
If it burning most of it then rebuild/swap is only option.
If leaking most of it that might be easily fix able, unless it's a main bearing in which case, again a swap makes better use of your time.

It is burning it. You can see it coming out of the exhaust. When you say swap, you mean, with a B6?

Yep, I have seen no 80s Tracers, and only like 2 or 3 different 323s driving around ever. They are pretty hard to come by anymore in junkyards, and good engines are even harder to find.
Probably why most people here opt for a harder engine to swap, but easier to find, like B6D, B8, and BP swaps, all of which would lower your gas mileage unfortunatly but would make for a very fun drive. Though I have no clue if any of those motors have been used in an Auto Festy.

There is a carbed b6 at a yard not far from me. They want 350 for engine. It's sitting on a shelf so it's doubtful they know much of anything about it.
