    ok so i was putting in my rebuild steering rack and lucky me i was hurry that i was i did not unplug the battery. so what happen is the ignition switch touched on of the the metal panels and caused a short so now i turned the key and nothing turns on except the headlighst no interior lights no dash lights no radio nothing so i did checked the fuses only the flasher sounds clicking but the hazard lights wont turn on. nothing was blown so my question is where can my short be at i hope its not the ecu its a 91 manual trans L trim festy

    Main fuse under the hood looks like a piece of wire it will be in the center of the fuse block on the driver side strut tower.
    You can replace this with a green long legged auto fuse.
    That's were I would start.

      hey thanks for the quick response william if damaged would the loops be broken or cut in half i checked them as well and one was rusted but nothing looked wrong until i started yanking on it then it just broke off too easy

        Yep they tend to burn inside the coating. Making them look okay but when you touch them they crumble.
        The first time this happened to me I couldn't see anything wrong with any of them. Turned out to be burnt inside. I pulled it ,and made one out of speaker wire to get me home.

              hey thanks for the pic bravekozak, I just put a speaker wire in the mean time i dont know if that did the trick because the next day everything turned on the fans the A/C blower the radio and the dash lights too thank you guys

                Buy pink-green-pink log legged fuses and replace the speaker wire ASAP. Or, you may risk a fire.
