  • 1992 Festie Front Wheel Bearing

Mine is just about shot. I need to buy a new front Wheel Bearing so I can replace the old one... I am trying to find out what part number for the Timkin bearing.
I have a 1992 Ford Festiva L with the manual transmission, no A/C! Please if you know the part number let me know.. I need to buy this right away...
    Thanks

Just making sure you understand you need a press or vice, slide hammer and sledge to pull apart the hubs to replace the bearings and seals. Don't lose or mix up the spacers either!

Nice. Thanks... We do not have O'reilly's around by me, but AutoZone is here. I generally call people I know in the Hydraulic world for bearings. I worked as a Hydraulic specialist for years and I just default there. Anyway, Off to buy bearings..

A swing press, often referred to as a BFH, will work. I actually use that with a press ten feet away.

Definitely keep track of the spacers!

When I was working in hydraulics, Play Dough worked wonders to remove bearing races.. It compresses and pushes the race right out!! No press needed.

Ok everyone.. HELP!! Got the bearings out, but just as everyone said, I forgot the seals!! Can't find a number to order them. Anyone know what seal to order? Oh, bearings and races came out pretty easy. No issues at all.
Really need to find the hub seal

Bought the bearings, seals, new rotors, brake pads, control arm bushings.. Figured I may as well change them when I have it all apart.

I did see that. Thanks. I have to get the vehicle back on the road pretty quick. My daughter drives it a lot and an extra day means a lot.
