  • Im in dire need!!! Stranded in Michigan

I have a 92 festiva, the outer rear wheel bearing has basically exploded and is now welded to the spindle. What can I pull one off of that will fit? Or does anyone have one anywhere near Vassar/flint? My car is about an hour south on the side of the highway. I need to go back to north Carolina Monday morning.

the inner most part of the bearing is now part of my spindle.

Can you find out if any junkyards are near, and if they have a Festiva?? Best bet is to remove the whole spindle and get another at a JY. New bearings, and axle nut too, from a parts store.

Where in Michigan? There could possibly be a member near that could help.

Flint is not too far away from Capac (half an hour east). Phone Scholz's. They should have about five or six Festivas in the tall grass on the east side of their field. Get them to pull it for you. Good luck.

Any year Festiva spindle will fit. It doesn't have to be from a '92.
          You gonna race that thing?

On my way up north in the Capri, I saw it there on NB 23 just north of 96. I'm sorry I didn't have any parts and didn't realize that you were on my way to offer help. Hoping for the best

They have a pull and save junkyard in Mason Michigan. Which is way west from you, they do have a festiva there. Just check around like suggested. Good luck.

Thank you guys, I went to capac and got a spindle for $50, then had to cut the studs out with our own torch, yalls scrap yard prices are insane up north! That spindle would have been like 10 bucks down here haha

Hey, glad you got your Festy back on the road! $50 is a little steep, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

Did you make it to work, Monday?

Na, I got to the yard a little late and had to leave the car on the side of 23 all weekend. I didn't stress it though, still made a good trip out of it. I made it back home with no issues. I averaged 43.5mpg from Sanford nc to flint and 47.5mpg on the way home.

Good mileage! That's what's nice about the Festy's. I have a B6 swapped into one of mine and still get 38-39 if I can keep my foot out of it.

There was a guy on here for a short time. Avatar name was KyMoonshine . I think he was 6'2 and 350 pounds. He told a story about him AND his 2 brothers, who where taller and heavier than him. They all stopped for gas, and said you should seen the looks they got when all 3 got out of a Festy!

I found the thread! Big boy! He was also an actor in B horror movies! Wish he had stayed on here.
