Mine clicked and it did not even have a horn at all.
Find the green wire that go's to horn ,it is behind the drivers head light , probe the wire with a circuit tester ,press the horn button to make sure you have power to the horn .
You may have a bad horn , or just a bad connection/bad ground at the horn . check it , possible tighten or clean them
Now would be a good time for a real horn www.hornblasters.com

The click you hear is the horn relay, a little box under the dash. It should make that clicking sound.

91 festiva [us]mine had an a-oogah horn when i bought it. it seems to get people's attention. on mine the original horn was on the passenger side behind the bumper cover. you may have to pull off the bumper cover to replace it if it's bad.

Trying to steer this back to original post.

When my horn started doing the exact same thing I took a wooden handle ball ping hammer. laid under the passenger headlight, reached up with the wood handle and tapped on the horn. It has been working fine for the last 3 months.

nothing works better than an attitude adjustment.

Some years ago I wrapped a plastic bag around the horn to keep off the water. It's in a pretty exposed location down there next to the bumper. Eventually rust blocked the electrical ground and it wouldn't honk any more. I disconnected the wire and pulled it back up into the engine compartment where I mounted a replacement horn in a ready made threaded hole in the fender on the passenger's side. I don't know what kind of horn it is, just a used one I found for $1 at a rummage sale some time before. I collect bargains that might become useful some day. This one did.

That's good info, I thought the buttons on the steering wheel were going bad. I can get a little bleat out of it now if I press it like a dozen times. I'm definitely getting one of those loud horns now. I can't wait to scare the cr&p out of an SUV
