  • Lower rear strut threaded nuts...yeah both...stripped.

I had no problem removing the bolts themselves but the threaded nut in the hole, pass and driver sides, stripped. I even used antiseize!

Is there any easy way of removing these?

Run the appropriate size tap thru them. You might need to get creative, using extensions to go thru the outer hole (where the bolt goes in).

If they are stripped, running a tap through them may not help. If there is enough material in the nut, it might work, but usually, if the threads are gone, they are gone! Even if SOME threads are left, trying to torque them down usually results in the remaining threads to pull out.
Try the tap fist, but if that does not work, you can get a "Heli-Coil" kit. It comes with a drill, a tap, and Heli-Coil inserts, and insert install tool.

Example: If the threads are M8x 1.25, You get the kit for that size. You will be drilling/tapping it larger with the supplied drill and tap. Then the insert is threaded into the tapped hole, and now you have NEW THREADS!

I don't recall what the size is for strut bolts, it's either M8 or M10. Take one of the old bolts to a part store, and check the size with their bolt sizing chart, and then get the Heli-Coil kit for that size.

Threads are m9x1.25, i went up to m10x1.5 with 17mm head. Success!

Hammering just made me annoyed. Thanks for the help!
