No Key

Anyone have input on how to start a manual festiva without the key? Just want to verify how it runs before I change the ignition switch..

from what i remember doing after removing steering column trim you undo the round wiring cluster connector going to the ign. switch (1 or 2 small phillip screws). pull that out and you should see white plastic insert in the end of the round connector with a slot for a small screwdriver. use screwdriver as a key. this won't release the column lock though.
