Rack and Pinion Questions

I have an 88 LX and need my R&P redone. Does anyone have diagrams of exactly how to do a replacement on this?
The Haynes manual has nothing on this. Where could I send the unit to have it reconditioned? What kind of repair
shops would offer a rebuild locally? I am in Greensboro, NC. Need any and all advice.

I'm in the process of replacing mine in my 88 LX and had sent it to A-1 Cardone (via RockAuto) but they were unable to rebuild it. I'm replacing it with one from a 91 and should be finishing it up tomorrow. The Detroit Axel price is the best I've seen, you could also check with local automotive machine shops and see if they offer this service.
