  • Ford Festiva 2000 model , Hold button

    Hello i was wondering what the little Hold button does next to the automatic transmission box ? thanks

    and also i was wondering if i can add in power steering for my festiva 2000 even thou it doesnt have it when i brought it.

    don't know about the a/c, but I bet that hold button releases the shifter when the car is off.

      My wife has a 2004 chevy aveo and it has the hold button on it, the dealer said it was kinda like a traction control for when the roads were slick.

        On my Saturn it was kinda like an overdrive, and then there was a key-hole where the shifter could be released in case the car stalled and needed to be moved or something.

          the "hold" button on most models is to hold the current gear you are in,

          good for going up and down hills and while carrying a large load or towing also in snowy and icy conditions
