  • verify this cv axle for my ford aspire?

so i ordered some new cv joints for my aspire last week and they arrived today.
i opened the box to verify both were correct.

the longer one looked like i remembered it.
but the shorter one did not.

i looked at the companys catalog who makes the axles before ordering to verify that i chose the correct part #'s for a ford aspire with manual trans left & right side. so these should be correct. but i cant verify in the fsm whether that end is male or female for sure.

the side that went to the hub assembly looked correct.
but the side that went into the transmission did not.
it was female instead of male.

if i remember correctly it is supposed to be male on both ends.

someone please help me because if it is wrong i have to mail it back for a refund before my time expires to do so.
    Running 40psi.....in my tires.

      nevermind guys.

i found my answer in their online interactive catalog.
it gave more details and listed the inboard joint type as male.

      it was boxed wrong.

      i knew it seemed fishy.

it has never happened to me before.
ordering items online and getting the wrong one sent to me.
they were very nice about it and promptly called me back about sending me out a new one tho.

all the auto part chains quoted $110 for each new axle and $60 for remanufactured each.

but online i got these new pair for $55 each.
      i love ordering everything online.
you always save so much money. at least %50 minimum
