  • looking for reverse light switch for a 91 festiva

    my reverse lights weren't working so I nosed around and found it
    unpluged so I plugged it up and waa la, they are working. I know......
    too easy. well the reverse lights just stay on so a new switch
    is next step. o'rieleys doesn't show a part # so I knew you guys
    would know the low down on locating one. haven't tried the bay
    yet. 91 5 speed festy.

    No, I already went through this.
    You need the gasket between the switch housing and the transmission or the lights will stay on.
    Got mine from Advanced, think it was for a crank case drain bolt but it worked perfect form mine.
    If you want, I have an extra (it was a two pack), PM me addy and I send it to you.

        how do you remove the plug? does it pry out or twist out counter cw?

          Follow the wiring up from the switch for about a foot and there should be a connection you where you unplug it.
