Can someone tell me the difference between the 88-89 and the 90-93 alternators? I did not realize they were different and just dropped off one that I picked up to be rebuilt. It is going on my 90 but I have no idea what year it came off.

the 90+ are 50 amp. i think the 88-89 are 45. the 88/89 have 4 terminals on the back (B, S, F, R). the 90+ only has 3 terminals, 2 on the side (L, S) and B on the back. the mounting brackets are slightly different between the 2. it's possible the mounting holes are spaced differently between the 2 but i don't have an early one to compare.
