Hey guys. I've been lurking here for about the last month with the anticipation of Festiva ownership. I drove my future Festy yesterday and the brakes were not up to snuff. Pedal would go all the way to the floor and would only stop properly after a random series of pumps. The PO replaced some fluid recently using a "trick involving an empty ketchup bottle". I checked the fluid and it was very full. Do you guys think the system needs a bleed or could it be a problem with the master? Thanks. I look forward to be more involved in the community once I have taken ownership!

I would start by looking for signs of leakage, back of tires, along the lines, mc, proportioning valve etc. If no leaks, bleed them properly, then check back if you still have a problem. Don't forget to post if you solve it, it might help someone the future.
Also, add your location to your profile, there may be a member local to you!

Also, when you bleed them, start at the right rear, then left rear, then right front and finally left front.Jerry
