    Ok, I'm a little confused... my b3 is overhead cam and doesn't have lifters. Are you referring to the rockers or "tappits"? Or do we have our motors mixed up? Thanks for the reply.

      The proper term is "hydraulic lash adjuster" or HLA for short. Many call them lifters. They are located in the end of each rocker arm in the later Festivas. I noticed that yours is an early Festiva so it will most likely have manually adjustable rocker arms. Perhaps some has a couple of photos that would help clarify things.

        Ah ok... last time I had the valve cover off was years ago. But I do recall them being adjustable, for some reason I thought I remember them also being roller rockers too? But they might just be flat tipped. I'll have to pull the valve cover and check it out. Thanks for the clarification.
