a few questions for you guys since im still a newb in the festiva world. 1. Are all b6 series swaps about the same difficulty, given the turbo has a few for sensors etc 2. what is the easiest and cheapest car to get the B series engines from 3. do all the ecu plugs interchange with the stock harness? I mainly deal with sbc v8's so any computers are pretty new to me lol.

B6Ts were in 1991-94 Mercury Capris, which were built on the Mazda MX6 platform IIRC. They are the hardest swap, due to the extra complexity of the turbo components. That being said, it's all a matter of experience, so lots of people probably consider this to be not too hard to do.
You can also get a B6D from a Capri and turbo it later. There's plenty of info here for research.
B3 = Festy, Aspire
B6 SOHC = Mazda 323, Mercury Tracer
B6D DOHC NA = Mercury Capri 1991-94
B6T DOHC turboed = Mercury Capri 1991-9490 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods

thanks everyone for the replies! Even though I see the B6T is slightly harder than other swap... I think I'm going that way due to finding a couple dirt cheap donor carsLast edited by BidEquation78; 12-27-2014, 08:41 AM.-82 C10 custom deluxe 350/th350
