If your clutch was slipping in 2nd and 3rd on hard take offs? You could get a new friction disc for $38. Clutch kit you would buy was $110 flywheel resurface was $35. Would it be worth saving $100 and just replacing the disc or would you go all in with a kit and resurface?

Personally, If I was pulling the motor and trans to install a clutch, it would get a complete kit. If the flywheel needed surfacing, that would be done too.Jerry

You cant tell on the Flywheel until you pull it and check the surface for warp-age. Slipping = Heat & Heat can cause Warping. Plus I cant recall why, but my local speed shop had an issue with mine. I think it might have been they didn't have the correct fixture? But anyway they cleaned it up @ .002" for $35.00,but said that was about the limit.....Someone else chime in because it was two years ago when I had it done.Some people like to read fiction,I prefer to read repair manuals. Weird I know-
