Hi, im new to the forum im in lincoln nebraska area. I have always loved festivas and recently had a chance to get one. It is a 93 5 speed with 309,000 miles i picked it up for 625 dollars. I just gave it a tuneup but then it started having a really bad hesitation from idle and would die if you kept giving it gas. After you got up in rpms it was alot better but still rough. So i found the problem when i pulled the intake tube to change the o2 sensor. Where it has the flexible bellows area it was split at almost every crease with big holes, hence the idle problem check engine light, etc. So i cut the bellows section out and now i have a oval at one end and a round at the other so i need a section thats about 5" long to put in bewteen the two sections of intake tubing.
A section of silicone tubing is my first go to but time is pressing and i dont want to have to wait until next week or later for the piece.
My second is if i can get ahold of another good intake tube.
My third is to make a new one but obviously im limited fund wise after buying the car.
My fourth is metal dryer tubing, ghetto i know but my options are limited.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Matt.
