I own an older Festiva and all of my panel's have been out of the car for a while so its hard to remember but I think there is one screw that holds it on. Once he sees it it will be easy to do.
**EDIT** I was wrong. The car your brother in law has, here in the states is called an aspire and I thought it is similar to the Earlier Festivas but they aren't. Here is a link that shows how to do it. http://www.justanswer.com/car/619ub-...ake-light.html Sorry for the confusion

Picture 4 is the critical one. You have to be careful not to break off the tabs holding the assembly in. Basically once you remove the two screws mentioned in picture 3, push the whole assembly towards the outside of the car to get the assembly's pins off of the tabs. Once it's out, you will see the how they designed it.Originally posted by gergorian View PostThe car your brother in law has, here in the states is called an aspire and I thought it is similar to the Earlier Festivas but they aren't.
