  • full aspire harness in festiva

ive had problem after problem electrically speaking with my 91 L (half fixing the mess from the PO and half new problems) and have had enough. I have a complete system in a 96 aspire sitting here so am just going to do a ecu/harness swap. Just wondering if anyone knows if the aspire harness is plug and play with the festy cluster?

Not sure it will work as I believe the 96 Aspire is OBD2. You may have some sensor/wiring issues with the Aspire harness.

You'd want to bring the ecu also. I see no reason not to

That's the plan only thing I'm unsure on is if i can still use the festy cluster or well i have to fit the aspire one in the festy dash

There's a lot different with the clusters. You'll also have to swap everything but the block head and exhaust manifold. It will not be fun or easy.

I can't remember right off, 96-97 or just 97's have a crankshaft position sensor built into the oil pump...well bolted to it... If 96's do also, that means the engine will need swapped since 91's have a small nose crank and 93/all aspires have a large nose.

Engine is already from the aspire just the intake is festy but i held on to the aspire system so was just going to swap over. In essence would have a aspire in a festy body
