... still haven't figured out the red car problems. I was in the middle of nitrofarm's fuse block repair when it got cold so I finished that up. I didn't tin the spades but I did clean then and dipped them in a tub of dielectric grease I have prior to reassembling. I believe the problem is the ignition switch and I have a spare, but I'll save that for my other repair thread so let's not reference that here.
I have insurance on the white car and will have the tags updated Wednesday. I told my wife to black tag it last year and she didn't so I have to catch it up. My intention is to sell this car but I want to drive it a while prior to selling it so I know what issues it may have and fix them. I did a driver's side fender and door swap and now the car is really straight except both quarters. It looks like a cow rubbed on the car.
I used a 2x4, a 1x4 and a 1x3 to try and ease the dent out on the driver's side by removing the tail light and rubbing it back and forth on the inside of the quarter, but as the metal had been stretched along the edges, it came out sort of wavy. The paint isn't cracked and I might work it some more, but I'm worried it'll oil can on me. I'm thinking of taking walmart sacks and cans of expanding foam and make some pillows in the quarter to support the metal and it would add sound deadening. It would also be removable thought it would destroy the foam.
