  • Front End Noise, help needed please...

93 L 5 speed. Hopped in my car after work and began to hear a noise coming from the front somewhere. It's midnight and I'm not in the mood to tear anything down tonight so I was hoping I could get some advice on what I could possibly begin with. The noise, as far as I can hear from inside, is coming from possibly the right front. It doesn't increase with rpms nor does it happen at idle. Nothing changes if I turn to the left or to the right. This is NOT the noise lol but imagine this sound... A pop can somehow wrapped around a driveshaft and it's smacking the undercarriage as it rotates. It sounded awful... Any ideas on what I need to look for in the morning? Thank you in advance...

Inner passenger CV? It's a constant pop? Does it happen in a certain gear? Any difference in ride?

Just pull the wheel off and look for anything that seems out of the ordinary. Wiggle things. Especially check the tie rod end and the LCA where it connects to the knuckle.

You picked up a stick add it's stuck in the undercarriage? Really need to take a look.
