I remember in my younger days when they used to flood a section of the parade ground at Offutt AFB and create a real nice ice rink in the winter.

Good luck getting you light buzzer fixed Dan.

I was there about 13 years after you were born. I have many fond memories of my time at Offutt.

The timer/buzzer on the relay tree under the dash is only for reminding about seat belts and key left in the ignition switch.
The whine buzzer in the tach cluster is for headlamps left on.
If you don't want to hear that whine, you will need to operate.

There, I fixed it for ya!

So I have 2 issues with things that go haywire in the cold! Nice.

Actually, that statement has been thought of by me already. Was hoping a (proper) fix was mentioned, but that does work! lol

It's cold related yes . I have three or four that do this from time to time . I pull them and tighten all the screws on the back then disconnect battery and clean all connections with a small wire brush . Three out of four this worked on but the fourth looked like someone hit it with a hammer then stomped on it and kicked it across the shop floor . . No really you can disconnect the buzzer ,not a fix but a band-aid for the brain . I try to save what little I have left up there .

started a topic New cluster issue?

    New cluster issue?

I have had another issue pop up, I think with the cluster. White tach cluster. 92 GL. I have a thread where I had a problem with the cluster, which can be found here:

    http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...-cluster-issue

I don't know if it is related at all, but I thought i'd mention it, in case it was.

Now, the head light warning buzzer is staying on when I start the car and turn on the headlights. Yeah. I wanna drive around with that screeching high pitched sound coming from the dash!!! ..... Not!

How do I get it to not do this? It eventually stops. So far. It does seem to be doing it longer now. It has been doing it, on and off, for maybe 2 weeks. I don't know if it is cold related like the other issue in the link, as it was already cold around here when it stated doing this.
Working...
