  • Front Passenger Wheel Bearing

Hello, I am looking for a replacement wheel bearing for my front passenger side. I called Ford, however, they don't make the parts anymore. Obviously. But I was told the part number is BR11. Can anyone confirm this? I believed it is a tapered wheel bearing, but not entirely certain.

Timken- standard stock in any McParts store

Don't forget inner and outer seals, as well as disc brake bearing grease. Don't misplace the spacer.. There's a good picto-guide floating around here.

I have a blue Festiva. Can anyone, anyone link me to a site of a part, that has a Sealed front bearing? The bearing I got from NAPA, did not fit and we are still messing with it. Please help, thank you. That picto chart has the rear, but not the front.

Front bearings for the Festiva are not sealed no matter the color of your car. There are two sets of #11 bearings in each hub along with inner and outer seals.

did you make sure you took the outer seal off before took the old ones out my seal was so worn down it was hard to see and are you using the bearing tool to punch them in it also helps if you clean it up really good then put a thin layer of grease if you still cant get them to fit take a caliper to them and see if they really are the wrong size also a picture whould help.

O'Reilly doesn't make bearings their house brand is made by who knows and I do not know what brands they carry.I do know that the spacer in the front is to maintain proper preload on the bearings and they come in different thicknesses to compensate for manufacturing differences in the housings anyway long story boring useing quality name brand bearings gives you better odds of having proper preload only because you have a better chance of having a bearing manufactured to tighter tolerances, just like rebuilding a differential . Using name brand bearings is just a little safer unless you are going to check and reshim.

Goal finish 1 amonth using as much stuff as I already have accumulated.

No cheif, cheap bearings will fail in 10k miles or less, the only ones last are timkin. Whether you mic the knuckles and make a new spacer or use the old or you crazy expensive grease. Only use Timken unless you enjoy doing wheel bearings.

I have never had an issue with oreilly bearings. My truck has had 2 on it from them for about 60000 miles and I never done anything to them but drive it.

I have not found house brand bearings off size but occasionally things can happen that QC does not catch. I have found unacceptable heat treating. Before installing a bearing put it on a vise and used a center punch and a hammer to dimple the race, inner and outer. DO wrap a rag around the end of the punch as fragments of punch should come apart from the tip. The bearing should not have a dimple at all. If it does it is not hardened enough for acceptable service even with red line grease. If it breaks then the hardening went to deep and destroyed the toughness of the bearing. It would be fine in service until you come to Oregon and hit a chuck hole on one of our city streets. Bam..broken bearing. If the yokohama 12's don't go first lol

Timken has been closing plants and moving them to India and China. German FAG and Japanese NSK are still pretty good. If the Timken still says something besides China it should be good stuff.

Don't tell me your center punch is made in China???
