Hello, does anyone have any passenger doors for sale? I just bought my 90 Festy and found out the window crank broke off and the spline on the shaft has been stripped off. Tried to repair it to no avail. Have to use vice grips to get the window up and down (not good). Thanks, Greg.

have you tried to use j-b weld as a last resort just slather over the shaft and put the crank on and let it harden overnight

Also... That would make for a pretty permanent install. Not good if you ever need to take the door apart again.

Welcome, Another Indiana member. If your door is ok otherwise you could just replace the window regulator. There is one on ebay. Not mine, but I believe he is a member here. eBay item number: 151618634879. Whatever way you fix it, its a good idea to get a can of silicon spray lube and liberally spray the rubber glass channel that the widow rides in. I do this on all mine. Roll it up and down and spray it some more. It keeps the glass from binding. The increased force when the window binds is often what causes regulators and handles to fail.

nothing permanent next time the doors needs to be taken apart just cut the handle off(if the spline on the shaft has been stripped off more than likely the handle isn't much better) and replace the regulator which is the best option in the first place but my way will work for a quick repair until he can get a new/used regulator

I'd rather use the vice grips until I found a new regulator

It would help to keep me motivated to get it fixed lol

Hello fellow Hoosier and thank you for the lead on the regulator. I just bought it and I will make sure to follow your suggestion about the lubrication. I have to lube the passenger assembly as well as it is pretty stiff but still working. Again, thanks so much for the info David, you really helped me out of a jam here. Hope to talk again some time. Greg.
