ok so I picked this festy up about a month ago now. I have been kinda going through it. I noticed a couple things. One may be correct for the car the other im pretty sure something is up lol.

    1st
when I get in the car and press the brake the buzzer comes on until the car cranks

    2nd
at night when driving with the lights on I have no dash lights until I press the brake. when I let off the brake they go off

1st -When you say buzzer, is it the "lights on" warning with the tach cluster? I found that a cheapo LED style brake/tail light caused that with the "lights on" warning.
I don't think this would have any effect on your 2nd problem.

the brake buzzer thing will do it with lights on or off. I tried that lol. I agree I think they are separate issues

Do you have the tach cluster? With mine it didn't matter if the lights were on, the cheapo LED lit the whole light(all LEDs) whether on as tail light or brake light and the lights on warning saw it as a light on either way. So when the brake lights came on it alarmed the same as the switch being left on. If you don't have the tach cluster, none of this applies anyway.

Here we go again. Is your radio illumination on continuously or does it go off when you let you let off the brake?
If it stays on, then I would replace your dimmer switch.
The radio has a separate ground than the instrument lights. The instrument lights ground through the dimmer switch.
They both share the same feed from the TAIL fuse.

Yes it is the tach cluster. Idk about the radio part because there wasn't a radio in it when I got it lol
