  • fuel injection/computer issue?

I've searched the archives to no avail. 1990 Festiva starts and runs fine for about a minute, then when accelerator is pushed, no response. Turn ignition off, restart and it is good for about a minute +- and then same thing. A mechanic friend said the computer is getting bad input from O2 sensor? swapped O2 sensor, no change, should I buy a new one? Fuel pressure was good and swapped MAF sensor and even pugged in another computer. Thanks, Jim

Please check/replace your fuel filer below the rail and the sock in the tank. There are also issues with old rubber fuel lines near the fuel filter collapsing and reducing flow. How much fuel do you have in your tank?

If you suspect the O2 sensor you should also check all the electrical connections.
It's actually cheaper to check them first.
