Fuel tank replacement help

Hi guys i gotta drop my tank out of my 92 festy and like most i have read here they all die the dreaded seam leak , i have a few quick questions for you specialists
1- is it a bad job ?
2- any tips would be appreciated to save me time
3-besides the top ring seal on the fuel tank do i need anything else my fuel pump works great so i plan on just putting that in the new tank

It can be done alone ( that's how I do seem to do it) but it would be much easier with another set of hands. Also, use masking tape and a marker to number the vent hoses and take a picture of them before you disassemble them. I always think I'll remember how everything went and then I always forget. Lol.

The hardest part I've seen it hooking all the hoses back up on the drivers side. There is several hoses that goes to a unit under the interior panels on the drivers/left side. I'd suggest taking picts of the hose locations before you disconnect them.
Also, It's a good wiggle job to clear the rear axle beam, at least on the 2 I've been a part of removing.

Being where you're from, you can get away with deleting that whole vent system.

Ok so just the four bolts hold it up in there ? And to get the vent hoses i saw a video on youtube where i gotta acess the hoses thru that panel , how about the fuel pump hoses do they just clamp on there with a simple clamp or is it something else ?

All fuel hoses use a modified Corbin clamp.
They will certainly not spend a cent on an all-stainless worm gear clamp. That's for sure.

removing the filler tube to tank hose will probably be the hardest part of the job. it's a large-ish diameter. it will be seriously stuck to the tank nipple. there's not enough room to back it off completely or to get a screwdriver all around the edge. but try not to damage it. they aren't available new unless parts stores carry that size gas and oil resistant hose.
