  • No idle

My car is a 92 festiva GL with the fuel injected 1.3l. The car has a hard time idling until it warms up and even then it's a rough idle. I've cleaned the throttle body thinking this would help but to no avail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A little more history with this car will help.

Start off with a tune up and seafoam.

I've given it new plugs and wires which it needed GREATLY, ran some fuel injector cleaner through, my next guess was to change the fuel filter since the previous owner hadn't taken care of it at all, he didn't even change the oil that often if at all from what I could tell.

What about the cap and rotor? Try a compression check. How many miles on engine? Any oil in the intake tube? How much blowby is coming from oil filler? As a last resort try a new o2 sensor.

Check for leaks in the air intake tube.
