  • blinker mystery.

Hello everyone, I'm very new to this whole forum thing, so if I do anything dumb let me know.

I've tried to look for this issue before I posted this.

I changed my cluster today, before i started the blinkers worked just fine but afterwords they just won't work. Both the hazards and the blinkers. I'm wondering if this has happend anyone else and if you have any pointers.

I just changed a white to white. The cluster was busted when I bought it.

If you have not used the hazard lights in like forever then you checked when done the hazard switch can ingest some junk into the contacts. The hazard switch has to work before the turns are able to work.

WmWatt has a first line of offense for something like this. Flush a bunch of wd 40 down through the switch while operating the switch. The wd should clean and lube the switch. Hopefully if that is the problem you can finish checking out the new cluster.
You might be prepared to catch some nasty excrement tricking out the bottom of the housing.

The only way the blinkers tie into the cluster, is through the turn signal indicator bulbs.
Carefully pull both connectors off the cluster to see if the turn signals work again. Then, report back to headquarters and let us know.
