  • BP not starting HELP ASAP

So I just got plates on the car and replaced the throttle body. I took it around the block and it went ok, parked it for a little bit, then went to take it out again it wouldn't start, It will start for a second then quit.I try to give it more gas but it will not respond. I pulled out the fuel pump real quick and it does work. Anyone have an idea what the problem would be?

check the VAF, it will fire and die if it isn't plugged in right just like it's doing in your vid.

Edit - just wanted to say it could be a lot of other things too, but that's a good place to start.

VAF is necessary for fuel pump relay to supply power to electric fuel pump.
No VAF = no fuel pump relay = no electric fuel pump = no gas = no go anywhere

The fuel pump relay is normally open. It closes when cranking the engine and the VAF hasn't grounded just yet. After the starter disengages and the engine is running, the VAF supplies the ground to the fuel pump relay. If the engine stops, the VAF opens and the fuel pump relay opens, cutting power to the fuel pump.

So I think my intake fell apart and the air was getting in the engine without going through the vaf. I had it unplugged and it ran. Plugged it back it then it ran....
